Members of Dublin City Comhairle na nÓg marked Pride 2026 by taking part in Dublin’s annual Pride Parade, celebrating diversity, inclusion and the importance of ensuring every young person’s voice is heard.

The day began with a colourful Pride-themed breakfast in the Civic Offices canteen, where members came together to prepare for the celebrations. The room was filled with rainbow flags, badges and face paints as members enjoyed breakfast, connected with one another and got into the Pride spirit.

Following the breakfast, the group joined thousands of people for the Dublin Pride Parade, marching through the city alongside community organisations, performers, allies and supporters. Waving Pride flags and celebrating with the crowds, members proudly demonstrated their commitment to equality, inclusion and acceptance.

Taking part in Pride provided an opportunity for members to show their support for LGBTQ+ communities while celebrating the values of respect, diversity and belonging. The day also highlighted the important role young people play in promoting inclusion and creating communities where everyone feels valued and represented.

Dublin City Comhairle na nÓg was proud to be part of this year’s celebrations and looks forward to continuing to champion equality and youth participation throughout the year.
