The Play and Recreation Assembly brought together young people from across Ireland to discuss the importance of play, recreation and accessible opportunities for all children and young people.
Throughout the Assembly, participants shared their experiences, explored key issues affecting play and recreation in their communities, and developed ideas and recommendations to help create more inclusive, accessible and enjoyable opportunities for young people nationwide. The Assembly provided a valuable platform for young people to have their voices heard and contribute directly to discussions on issues that matter to them.
A full report outlining the discussions, findings and recommendations from the Play and Recreation Assembly is currently being finalised and will be published here shortly. Thank you to all the young people, facilitators, organisers and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the event.
