Amanda McLoughlin is responsible for supporting and overseeing the National Participation Office, ensuring the delivery and maintenance of operations for Comhairle na nÓg (local youth councils), the National Youth Assembly, and other participation structures.

She also oversees the delivery of youth participation services on behalf of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY).

Amanda is most passionate about ensuring that the voices of children and young people are given due weight, that they have influence, and that they are provided with feedback on when, where, and how their input is used.

In her role as a Civil Servant, Amanda is guided by the quote: ‘The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others’ Mahatma Gandhi.
