On November 6th, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Comhairle na nÓg hosted its Annual Youth Conference at the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan. The event brought together 100 young people aged 12-17 from across the area to discuss the issues that matter most to them.
The day featured debates, discussions, and activities, culminating in participants identifying three key concerns: Mental Health, Facilities and Youth Spaces, and The School System. After a final vote, the lack of Facilities and Youth Spaces was selected as the most pressing issue.
This priority will shape Comhairle na nÓg’s work in 2025 as they collaborate with local services and decision-makers to address the need for improved youth facilities and spaces.
